Twenty years ago when Karen was a high school exchange student in Germany, she knew travel had to play a significant role in her life. She believes there is nothing better than stepping off a plane or a ship in a country you have never visited before. In today's world, she says we have few opportunities to “discover” on our own but travel allows us to achieve that experience. Karen's greatest sense of satisfaction with completing a booking comes from knowing she has researched and sourced the best option for her clients. The only thing better than hearing back from clients that the trip exceeded their expectations, is when she receives a referral from the satisfied customer. TierOne Travel is a member of Ensemble. Having a group of other travel veterans as colleagues, she can utilize their expertise and knowledge for her own clientele. Those colleagues also give her the security of knowing that when she has to be away from her business, she is leaving her clients in expert hands. Karen travels on business on a monthly basis, trips that take her across Canada and the United States. When she isn't traveling, golf is her other passion. For her own enjoyment, Karen has trips planned this year to Hawaii, St. Lucia and Phoenix.
